Spokey Dokey Badge Club Admissions Policy
Effective Date: [update to October 2024]

  1. Introduction
At Spokey Dokey Badge Club, we believe every child deserves the chance to play, explore, and feel proud of what they achieve. Our stay & play sessions are designed to be inclusive, safe, and enjoyable for younger children and for older children with learning disabilities. This Admissions Policy explains how we manage bookings and ensure a supportive environment for all.

  2. Eligibility

  • Our sessions are open to younger children and to older children with learning disabilities.

  • Parents/carers are expected to stay on site and join in the fun.

  • We welcome families from Whixley, York, and surrounding areas.

  1. Booking Process

  • Bookings can be made online through our website.

  • During booking, we ask parents/carers to share any relevant information about their child’s needs (e.g. allergies, access requirements, or additional support needed).

  • This helps us prepare activities and ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.

  1. Admission Decisions
We aim to include all children wherever possible. In rare cases where we cannot safely meet a child’s needs within the session, we’ll discuss this with parents/carers and look at options for future sessions.

  2. Confirmation
Once your booking is received, we’ll send a confirmation email with session details, what to bring, and any additional forms if needed.

  3. Our Commitment to Inclusivity
We’re committed to making Badge Club a welcoming and supportive space for all children. While resources may limit what we can provide at each session, we’ll continue to develop our offer so more families can benefit in the future.
